 I have been a photographer for over 16 years. My work is mainly in the traditional medium of darkroom developed black & white photography. I am endlessly fascinated, and sometimes frustrated, by the development of the latent image. I enjoy the whole process from initially seeing an image, assessing the situation, taking the photograph, and finally seeing the image materialise in print as my interpretation of the original image.
I also combine traditional photography with digital imaging. It enables me to work quickly and see results quickly, essential in a gale force wind out at sea covering a yacht race.
